Appearance: Rock Howard is 5' 8", 154lbs and has bright blonde hair. He wears a red and white jacket with black trim on it. One the back of it is a white star that is overtop of a pair of black bird wings. Under his jacket he has on a black sleeveless shirt that matches with his loose fitting black pants. He also has wears a pair of black boots.

Personality: Rock is a really troubled teenager. The way he acts seems to fit alot of teenagers: Rebellious, hard-headed, secretive, tortured inside. He has plenty of reason to be. He's always looking to find himself, where he belongs, and has a pessimistic view of the future. He's always looking down, his eyes are always somewhere else, and his fighting seems to be the only thing that can pick up a spark in his eyes.

The thing is, though Rock has grown up and began to participate in these fighting tournaments, was raised by his idol, and is still living, there is one thing he can never forget: He is the son of that "bastard", Geese Howard. That bothers him, and will bother him until he is dead. Rock's determination is unwavering. He will do anything to get what he wants. The kind of determination and will he has is very powerful.

His father was an evil man and he despises him because of it. Which is why he becomes angry when anyone says that he is his son. Rock does have a good sense of what’s right and wrong and has protected someone that was getting attacked. He still likes a lot of things that kids his age like. Fancy motorcycles, fighting, basketball, and just hanging out/being active. Letting people in isn’t easy for him. He still has trouble letting the person who raised him in.

On another note. Rock also has a sort of fear of women, having grown up only around men. He doesn’t really know how to deal with them. He claims them all to be crying, whiny entities.

Abilities/Strengths: Rock has trained to be a fighter since he was little. His particular style is Ancient Arts of Combat mixed with martial arts. Ancient Arts of Combat is a devastating fighting style that was used by his father. It was mixed with the martial arts that he learned while training with Terry Bogard. He possesses a few attack which use his ki energy to deal damage. By focusing the energy in his hand, he can throw it and cause it to run along the ground and cause it to hit his opponent. He can also focus the energy into his hand and deliver a powerful punch to his opponent.

Because of Rock’s training, he has developed an impressive muscular build that is augmented by his speed. Fighting is something that Rock really enjoys. Probably the adrenalin rush or because he can lose himself in the fight and forget about any problems that he may have. He is a good fighter and has no problem engaging someone who is of equal or higher level.



Weapons: None. He uses his fist.

Weaknesses: Probably the fact that he doesn’t open up and talk about what’s really bothering him. He stays distant even to his closest friend, probably because of the emotional scars left on him from the loss of his mother how his father was toward him.



History:
Rock was born in Southtown to Geese Howard, the most feared crime lord of Southtown. While his father wasn't truly around to take care of him, Rock was put in care of his mother, Marie Heinlein. Though he spent a few years being raised by his mother, he learned to love her more than anyone else. Tragedy struck while he was still very young, and his mother had died of a disease. During this time, his father also dies, while letting go of Terry's helping hand at Geese Tower, and thus, fell from a very tall tower. Rock was orphaned, but shortly in time, discovered by Terry Bogard, Geese Howard's rival, and long-time participant of The King of Fighters tournament. Handing the small, blonde youth his "Fatal Fury" hat, the two began to live together, as Terry adopted Rock as his son. Throughout the years, Terry trained Rock to be a fighter like himself, and ... you can say Rock's view of life is almost as positive as Terry's. This, however, is just the beginning to a tale of the two American fighters in KOF.

Though Rock was raised by Terry, and was ultimately influenced by him, deep down inside, there's still something that Rock feels isn't correct: He's the son of Geese Howard. It bothers the kid, effecting the way he acts around people. Around 10 years after Geese's death, a fighting tournament called Maximum Mayhem appears, and instinctively, both Terry and Rock join in it. The host of this tournament is held by Kain R. Heinlein, the last name sound familiar? Kain is the brother of his mother - making Kain the biological uncle of Rock. In the end of the tournament, Kain bargains with Rock, asking him to join with him. Rock refuses at first - but when hearing the whereabouts of his deceased mother, he quickly changes his mind. Kain claims that Marie is still alive, and Rock takes the risk to join in with Kain. To sum it up: Kain wants to use Rock to erase Geese Howard's name as the "Criminal Mastermind of Southtown" -- and to do that, well... it'll have something to do with disposing of his son, I assume.

When Rock joins with Kain, Terry is shocked, however, Rock tells him that he'll be back. Terry accepts this - and it's obvious in the ending that Terry is quite troubled by this. He hopes that Rock will be alright.
